Cadalyst announces major changes

Cadalyst Logo
Longitude Media, the publishers of Cadalyst Magazine have announced some major content changes starting in January of 2016. Publication of the printed Cadalyst magazine, as well as much of the online content, comes to an end. This includes product reviews, the Tips & Tools e-newsletter, Hot Tip Harry, and other similar features. Current subscriptions to the e-newsletters will be migrated to a twice-monthly e-newsletter featuring Lynn Allen’s video tips. We have spoken with Robert Green and it looks like the CAD Manager column will be not be affected. The January 4, and January 11, 2016 Tips & Tools e-newsletters contain a hint at this move, each state that they are being replaced by a “new CAD newsletter later this month”.

CAD Panacea’s own R.K. McSwain said “It was an honor and a great experience reviewing the Hot Tip Harry submissions and the Tips & Tools submissions for the past several years.”  It remains to be seen what, if any role, contributors such as McSwain and others will provide to the future of Cadalyst.

Cadalyst publication was picked up by Longitude Media in 2009 after being dropped by Questex.

That’s a great shame as I’ve got loads of great information from Tips and Tools as well as Hot Tip Harry over the years

i still have copies of first year cadalyst. may have number one somewhere. computers were new. autodesk delivered a customizable product and gave a lot of people their intro to programming thru lisp. cadalyst was a part of that.

If you dig them up Terry, would love to get some photos of them. I have a bunch from the 2002-2005 era.
