Have you ever wondered about when an AutoCAD command was introduced or modified? Maybe you are using a not-so-current version and you are wondering why a certain command does not work, or works differently.
Autodesk publishes a list of new and updated commands and system variables, as well as obsolete commands and system variables in the documentation for AutoCAD (and its verticals)
Here are some direct links to this information up to date as of version 2018.1
- New AutoCAD Commands and System Variables Reference
- Obsolete AutoCAD Commands and System Variables Reference
Another good resource is Lynn Allen’s Tips and Tricks booklets, which accompanied all AutoCAD releases since 2004.
Here is an almost complete listing of them, along with links to the PDF version of them. In spite of her recent departure from Autodesk, we hope she considers cranking these booklets out!
Cadforum.cz has a great command reference, including foreign language versions.

Thanks Mike!
